Sustainability and transparency

‘socially sustainable food production’ plays a central role in the mission of Groep De Brauwer. By this we namely think of respect for man, animal, environment and climate. We do not avoid our responsibilities as a family company, and collaborate on this commitment together on a daily basis with our employees and customers.

A reduction of our ecological footprint in our industry is an absolute necessity. Therefore we continuously evaluate every step in our production process and implement, where possible, innovations to reach our goals.

Food Safety

We support 100 % traceability . While we have the complete chain under our control, we can find out the origin of each pig at any moment, including with which genetics it has been bred and which feed it has received.

Animal Welfare

Not only for the sake of the animal, but also in the interest of the consumer, we want healthy animals who feel good . We want a healthy, stress-free animal which results in nice qualitative pork meat.

Eco-friendly

We limit the impact of our production on the environment by using solar panels and natural ventilation in our stables and by innovative organization of our manure treatment.

Fast and immediate guidance

We supervise each link in our chain from genetics, housing up to slaughtering. This allows us to intervene and adjust at any moment.
